Hola, I am traveling to Ecuador this month and plan to stay 3 months. Because I travel with my German Shepherd dog, I want to rent an apt in Quito for 1 month and then shift to Cuenca and rent an apt for 2 months.

I traveled in Ecuador in 2003 and found it so easy to be in Ecuador. Right now I'm having problems booking anything ahead when there is a dog involved. Any suggestions?

I can rent a car if need be to transport myself and dog. How is it renting a car in Ecuador? Is it risky like México?
