This is a book about cultural gaps that occur in these kind of communities.In Ecuador, as she says in her book, expat communities are very well separate from the Ecuadorians. Not that Ecuadorians have bad attitude anyway as this kind of gap happens all around the world. This book's most significant role, perhaps, is that it acts as some kind of forum between expats and natives, hoping that this gap will have a bridge soon.
